What is the JANOME MB-7 MACHINE COMPANY?

Janome MB-7 is obviously made by Janome Japanese sewing machine company. He has been making sewing machines since 1921 but did not adopt the genome name until 1954. Clearly, these are not fly-by-night operations, although they are not as popular as other brands such as Brother, Bernina, and Baby Lock.

Features

Some of the key features of Janome MB-7 include:

• 7 needle heads: This is unusual for me because most multi-needle machines seem to have the same number of heads. But 7 is better than 6! You can put white and black on your machine and then make room for 5 other colors. Most designs I sew are no more than 7 colors so this means I rarely have to change colors when sewing designs.
• The most commonly available machine reads embroidery file formats: DST and JEF.

• Terms Jump Threads.

• Comes with 10 different built-in fonts.
• USB port for easy transfer of embroidery design on the embroidery machine. (If you are thinking of buying a used multi-needle embroidery machine – some older models still have floppy disks – yes!)
• Big screen – easy to see and wide enough to right-click on whatever you want.
• Super strong accessories: Hopes are just as heavy and durable – much more than a home machine.
• Comes with a very large hoop: You can sew large designs up to 9.4 ″ x 7.9.

Working on Janome MB-7

Although the Janome MB-7 is easy to thread, wrapping and inserting the bobbin is not easy. Properly inserting the newly opened bobbin case was a bit of a challenge, but after several references to the owner’s manual, Sunshine Sewing and Coating owner Faye Nicole and I were able to locate it.

The trick is to follow every step of the manual carefully. In all honesty, this is the difference between configuring the new MB-7 and its predecessor, the MB-4.

If the optional remote computer screen is not attached, the Janome MB-7 can be connected to a desktop or laptop computer via a USB cable, which is included as a standard accessory. Embroidery designs and all other data that appears on the remote computer screen will appear on the computer monitor.

Even with the removable Janome optional remote computer screen, you can import embroidery designs from our computer via the USB port in the removable screen aspect.

Pros and Cons of Janome MB-7

Pros

There is a lot of positive to say about Janome MB-7.

• It is quite portable and compact. At just 50 pounds and with a mark of about 2 ′ x 2 – you can rest it on a small table.
• This is a very popular machine. So there are a lot of YouTube videos that show how it works. In fact, you can access these videos on the machine’s help screen!
• It gives you a lot of feedback. If you threaded it incorrectly, it will take a backup of where it started to go wrong and then tell you that there is a problem. (Eli discovers that 99% of his problems are caused by threading errors from above.)
• The bobbin is accessible while the hoop is on the machine. It’s great that the sewing between the bobbin threads is gone because you don’t have to remove the hoop to replace the embroidery bobbin thread.
• It sews quickly and beautifully. She sewed my “big mama” embroidery design in about half the time that my machine would fit.
• Threading is easy if you use Eli’s technique. Just release the tension, tie the new thread to the old thread and pull it out.

Cons

• Just like 7 needles, 6 to 8, 10, or even 12 needles are better than seven. Before settling on this machine, consider the number of colors in the designs that you usually sew. If you make designs with many different colors, you will want to invest in a machine that has more needle heads.
• The design needs to be placed in a special folder on the flash drive. (It took Eli a while to figure this out.) Once you insert the flash drive into the machine, the machine automatically formats the flash drive and develops a specific directory structure in which you can embed the embroidery design. Is required. Eli has found that cheap, low-capacity USB drives work best.
• Bobbin threading is a bit difficult. And, the code doesn’t help you figure out how to do it.
• It’s loud! Use your headphones if you want to watch TV near the machine.
• If you pull your hoop fabric at an angle (such as when you are trying to tighten the hopping), the fabric may inadvertently slip out of the hoop.
• Finding a dealer can be more difficult. Since Janomes is not the most popular brand of embroidery machine, depending on where you live, it can be difficult to find a place (or someone) to serve your machine.

Conclusion

All I have to say is; that I’m sold out. I didn’t think I needed a multi-needle but now I feel like I really and now, seeing this machine in action, I think it would be one for me.
